225 Changing engine mounts.....PH2 225

  1. Is it a simple job? I will get powerflex inserts when i do it but wanted to know if its a ball ache to do for a semi competent mechanic? Is there any guides on it as search hasnt found any

    Not too bad a job, you will need to jack up the engine a bit to hold while changing them

    Am i right in thinking that all i will need is the powerflex inserts and can reuse the original mounts after removing the knackered inserts?

    Yea you can them on the old mounts, i doubt there will be anything there, as they don't come with them in the first place.
    But when i did this to mine the drives main mount was knackered so i bought a replacement from a local motor factors, for the gearbox one, undo the nut nearly all the way off, put the jack under the gearbox leave a gap of about 1/2 inch, then hit the nut to break the stud away, that is after removing the battery tray.
