Has anyone found any 'secret' features on their Megane or other cars? It was only after a few months I realised the middle of the 'diamond' on the boot was a locking button!
I have a brilliant one water storage in the door pocket when ever im thirsty I just go to the drinks cabinet in the passenger door card
Mine is able to extract huge quantities of money from my bank account and wallet without me realising how much has been taken.
Mine likes to randomly open the boot when driving, think it's so I can hear the turbo whistle better, makes sense, right?
That's because when you've closed your boot, the catch didn't work and it's actually not closed. Usually when boot slams. I always lift the boot up to make sure it doesn't open every time I close it now. I'd say 6/10 the boot opens up again.
Mine did that, was a dodgy earth near the o/s rear light cluster, never happens with me now (touch wood!)
That's strange because it won't start with the boot open. I once got some webbing strap trapped in the boot catch of my 225 and it took me a good 15 minutes of pulling and prodding to get it out, I was outside some shops and couldn't go anywhere until I'd done and that was the first time I found out it wouldn't start without the boot closed!
Oh really? I've never had my car not start because something was open. In fact, I'm sure in the summer when I was cleaning it I stored all my products and a drink in the boot of the car with the boot open, and moved the cars position to that the side I was doing wasn't in the sun.
Common fault this I think. Boot open button shorting I think (as though you'd pressed it). About £25-£30 and two minutes to change.
Mine opened the boot upon starting the engine a few times. Fixed now though, button was all wet so I dried it and resealed it.
Worth checking the earths at the back first, thats all mine was and it was free to fix! Mine used to randomly open when starting the car / putting it into reverse
I owned my R26 for a year before discovering that the windows closed themselves when you deadlock the car.
I like the fact when i bought it from renault dealer they said no rs monitor ,i said" it has "but didnt know how to work it on test drive they knew best though being a renault dealer i picked it up and pressed the 2 buttons low and behold the secret rs monitor the salesman wasnt to happy thinking he knew all
Take the door card off and use a tiger seal or mj pro black type sealer to run along all the joins on the back. Main one is the speaker grill thats where it will get in and run into the pocket. Its where the joins are crap/french build quality and split over time.
Mine also does this when you start the car get in start the car get out reclose boot get in shut door get out re shut the boot get in etc etc
Figured out today that if the climate control temperatures are different you can make them both the same as the drivers side by pressing and holding auto.
