Hi everybody. As the title says, the heated seats in my megane(62 plate) have stopped working. The message ' heated seats activated ' is always on, regardless if the switched is turned on either seat. Both seats produce no heat, had a look at the wiring and it all seems intact, wouldn't think its the switches as both seats produce no heat? any ideas well appreciated.
I have checked the manual and the fuse i can only assume is located under the bonnet! I don't know if that means a proper mechanic needs to look at it.
I disconnected the wiring at the switch points on the seat and left it about a week, then plugged all back in and that sorted it! I’ve had moments of the message coming up still but nothing enough to make me feel the need to do anything about it
What message are you getting after fixing it? Did both your seats stop working? I will give this a go thanks!
Are you considering to ever be a father? If so, you don’t want to use the seat heating feature as the boys will lower your sperm count. That’s from research #justsayin
Just that the heated seats are on when they are not, a lot better than the drivers one being on all the time! Just flickers I’m every now and then, got to be a bit of a loose connection somewhere
