For those looking for a cheaper solution and more sensible way to just replacing the full arm when your ball joint has gone i can supply the ball joints for £145 a pair. Also fit the Cli 197/200
Jamie, what tool are you meant to use to remove them? Is it a heat and chisel job or what? Sent from my FRD-L09 using Tapatalk
Aye heat and a punch or chisel. I keep meaning to measure them up to see if I could get a copy spanner made up to size
I attempted to remove the ball joint with a chisel. Just would not budge. It ended up getting destroyed and there was no collar left to punch against. Heat did not help at all. I have since replaced the full arm from Renault. Has any one had any sucess?
I've changed mine as have several others. There's a socket that fits them as well, IIRC it's for a laguna
http://www.lasertools.co.uk/product/2918 Said socket I believe, also noticed the peugeot 406 coupe 108 balljoints appear the similar size at £16 for OEM ones maybe worth a look and save £100+
I’m tempted. So are they genuine Renault parts? I didn’t realise that they were threaded ball joints. So with that socket and enough heat and persuasion, they should come out nicely.
Yup genuine joints, made by OCAP for Renault. Bit of heat and some persuasion is needed, mine came out with some of the above after 99k and several Scottish winters
The swivels? I sure do but ill need to check prices as they have all changed slightly due to the exchange rate
That for both sides mate? May be able to do you a deal if your wanting all 3 for each side but ill get back to you tomorrow
