R26 ABS + ESP + spanner light after hitting speed bump

  1. As above. Would be nice if I could go a month with an issue with this car but that's the joy of owning a Renault yes...?

Anyway a quick search here and elsewhere implies it's some connection that's broken when I hit the bump.

Is it an easy fix? Where is the connnection? Bare in mind how shockingly shit I am mechanically.

    TIA

  2. Just a wild guess, but it could be an ABS sensor. Apart from that, how's your car going now with the new engine?

  3. Hi mate, with the trouble/wobble/shake you had at Brands now this i would strongly suggest you get your car checked over, could be a loose hub or wheel bearing issure.

  4. Really nice. Feels loads quicker everywhere. Need to get it to Bedford to really stretch its legs and compare.

  5. I'm pretty happy it was me slamming on brakes and not running proper cooling laps that caused that - no issue since.

  6. So just driven it. Lights came on at start then driving out of estate hit another speed bump and they switched off and have stayed off ever since. :sob:

  7. Just a guess but possibly the original bump knocked your tracking too far out and is back on the next bump?
If the steering angle sensor is too far out from what it thinks it can throw up some problems.

  8. Went to local garage. Sensor had just popped out. They popped it back in no charge. First fault on the car that hasn't cost my hundreds/thousands of pounds.
    Yippiekayay you mother funkers!
