Something old, something new

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by Jambo87, Oct 15, 2017.

  1. Going to be ordering a new exhaust for the meg this week. Whilst browsing fleabay i noticed an original cat back system selling for nearly 300 quid. Just wondering are they actually worth that (be nice to get a little money back lol). Mines a 2010 that has just ticked over on 50k. Any feedback would be appreciated

    Cheers jambo

  4. Haha sompeople try there luck on places like ebay.prime example is my turbo clio 182........i sold it months ago for £3000,it is on ebay for 5k currently.

I struggled to sell it for 3k because it has high mileage (mechanically it is sound as a 80k mile clio) and it dynoed at the expected 230 bhp /230 ftlbs.its funny because in the ebay there is no mention of the mileage.

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232520106688

Hope you've considered a CGR Exhaust custom built to your spec :sunglasses:

  7. Im not moaning about chi, just stating that people try there luck sometimes by putting things up for alot more money than normal.

  9. Lol. Ive opted for the ktec cat back. Had to go for that 1 to keep in budget. Trying to keep the balance right between spending on car and doing house up aswell (plus keeps the mrs from moaning lol). Out of curiosity whats the price on your cat back systems?

Cat-backs start at £870 for a Mk3, and can be spec'd how you like with as many or as few silencers in various different shapes and sizes to suit your needs
