  1. Was mooching around ebay and saw this R26. It has a tablet in the dash, anybody know which make/model and is there a how to anywhere? Did a quick search but didn't find a lot beyond the Double Din unit.
    cheers

  2. Looks like my r26. That's a double din android head unit from Amazon. I opted for a "pumpkin" one, although they probably all come from the same factory in China. About £200.

  3. Yeah that just looks like a double din unit, but if you're interested in a tablet build there are a few videos on YouTube if you search "Car Nexus 7 Build".

The Nexus 7 seems to be the most popular choice as it is basically double din size, there are a few firmware mods to make it work well too. The nexus 7 lets you charge and OTG at the same time, so you can leave it plugged in and take a digital music output. I looked into it a fair bit as I was going to do it in my 250.

  4. that's cool, thanks for that will do some looking about

  5. The Pumpkin options look pretty good, easy to fit?

  6. Yeah, relatively. I'd never done a car radio before, but I had it sorted in an evening.

  7. Ive got an xtrons double din android unit. Looks great, sounds good (32gb sd card with mp3 or flac files) phone / bluetooth / nav etc. Multiple pre outs and I'm running an active sub in the boot.

When i had my Clio last year i had a few pioneer / kenwood unots and they were full of gimmicks and flashing lights you couldnt turn off. This is much better imo KFrOowp.jpg
