630 injectors

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by Paul21, Sep 14, 2017.

  1. Have seen this that and the other about these but do they make much of a difference in regards to bhp have heard they can give a possible extra 10bhp in conjunction with a remap. Any truth in this?

Apparently standard injectors can only deliver enough fuel for 280 hp ish, 630's will allow more fuel, i think enough for about 350 before they are at full flow.

  3. Do you think they would be worth the purchase if they were combined with an induction kit, aftermarket exhaust and a remap?

Yes they are worth getting, you will need them eventually, with the other add on's you should get close to 300/300
I got mine on a group by last year and i think they came from a place in Cornwall, worth a search and a call.

  5. Was looking on getting to about 300bhp, am I right in saying anything above this your talking some serious ?. I have seen them for £200, how much were they in the group buy?.

  6. Was ment to say money after serious

    We paid £160 http://www.rsmegane.com/threads/630-siemens-injector-group-buy.7795/

To get 300 bhp for definite you will need a 250 megane turbo, might just be able if your engine plays ball

  8. Can the 250 turbos be abit of a problem then?. Where did you have yours remapped?

No, the 250 turbo is an upgrade on the 225/r26 unit but not the silly price for a hybrid unit, mine is running 320hp on a 250 turbo, a hybrid turbo would get me to about 360 hp but its about £1800 just for the turbo.

I drove to RS tuning Leeds from Plymouth to get my remap

  10. 320!. Bet that's quick. £1800 is a fair bit. What other mods do you have?. That's where I would plan on taking mine, Have heard alot of good things about them. Have no idea about what they charge though.

Its not to bad  the next step is a lot of money, i am happy with 320 :sunglasses:

I am running a standard 250 engine and turbo, charge cooler, turbo back full Scorpion exhaust and a cone filter :sunglasses:

Paul is good, he knows what he's doing

I think there is a group buy on another renault forum at the moment, Looks like normal price is around £395+vat

  12. I would be happy with that too:smirk:.
How much did the 250 engine set you back?.

Definitely worth the money getting a remap from him then, I think I seen somewhere he also sells 630 injectors for £200 and that included fitting aswell. I know there easy to fit as I've had to replace injectors before but if he does them aswell myt as well get then done same time I have the remap. You can't drive on them without having a remap, I've also seen.

the engine was really cheap, i already had a brand new turbo that i bought for the 225 engine, i think Paul is doing a deal on a 250 turbo as well, you are right you can't run 630's until it's being mapped i think he charged me £30 to fit mine

How reliable are 630 injectors? Standard ones seem to give up fairly easily, I've been through a few already.

  15. Ran my standard injectors for over 150.000km+ , car already had 150k on it and don't expect they were changed prior?

When I bought it the original injectors were coughing, so I put new ones on, then 2 of those weren't happy after 10k, possibly dodgy ones..

Common for people to replace standard injectors though!

  17. I'm gonna go for 630 injectors straight away on my newly built engine to save messing about and just have them mapped in.

  18. How hard was the engine install?. Think I'll give them a call nearer the time and see how much he would charge for injectors, 250 turbo and a remap.

very easy, you just need all the sensors from your old engine and the 225/r26 throttle body, you will need to make an adaptor plate.

  20. But does your car have a fuel filter (not the crappy one in the pump but a changeable one) its what the uk spec cars are lacking.
Fuck knows why renault didnt put one in as standard.
