Hi Chaps, Sorry if this has already been covered, I used the search function and couldn't find anything related. I've found since upgrading to an iPhone 6, my USB port no longer has the juice to charge my phone whilst I'm playing music. I know this is due to the amperage being delivered by the port not being strong enough. Has anyone had a similar issue, or know how to juice up the output from the USB port? Separately, my 12v doesn't work either, need to get onto Renault about that! Cheers!
I do not think there is much that can be done about the USB port, but i would look at getting the 12v working
Really? I stream music from Google play and the car plays it fine and charges my phone really well. I use an iPhone 6S
Same. Different iPhones (using Spotify and sat nav) charge without a problem via the radio USB connection.
Thanks for all the replies! Looks like I should maybe ask the question next time my car goes in... Mikey, I use Spotify so a USB won't work for me
Yep, one of these. 32GB so never have to change music. It's so small you can barley notice it. All my meta files are sorted so al the artwork displays. Can't be bothered plugging or bluetoothing.
I use Spotify and Bluetooth the music. Connects straight away when I get in the car and use the 12v with an USB adaptor to charge, as I find the USB plug a bit crap
My 250 won't charge via the USB-port either (iPhone 7), but had the same issue in a new Clio with the R-Link system.
I also use one off these and it's nice you can even shut the flap with it in, although i can't anymore since i wen't aftermarket on the audio making the aux and usb redundant (along with the decent stock Bluetooth mic..).
