1. Hi all.

My Michelin PS4s need replacing soon. These have been a great tyre for A and B road use. Just wondering if these are still the tyre of choice? Ive seen that Avon ZZ5s are much cheaper, has anyone tried these? Or any other thoughts? I dont track the car, mostly B road use.

    Thanks

  2. Stick with PS4 and stay out the hedge :tongueout:

  3. Ha ha so still the road tyre of choice then. Cheapest i can find 2 fitted on 18s is about £270. Anyone know of any deals?

  4. god..dont buy the avons..utterly terrible tyre..i wouldnt put them on my van!

  5. ADo8`r is a better dry weather performance tyre if you are looking for a option.
wont compete with the ps4 in the wet..but superior in the dry, with tougher sidewalls if you throw a trackday in.

  6. Sounds like the PS4 is the best all round tyre. Mine are "extra load" which im guessing they all are?

  7. ps4s are a fantastic tyre. Im trying the ad08rs this time round tho

  8. Has anyone tried the Yokohama advan sport v105s?

There is a PS4S model now too - I'm tempted to try them next time

  10. Michelin aren't doing them in 18 inch atm.

  11. I've ran ZZ5s on my 250. They're ok, for a road tyre. Not as bad as people above make out. IIRC Lotus tested them on an Elise of something similar and rated them too. I paid less than £70 a corner (at cost and free fitting).

I wouldn't write them off but for the extra money you're better off with the PS4s. I got mine fitted at Costco. About £400 all in. £50 cashback too. Look for the deals.

  12. I think I need to sign up to Costco and see what theyve got

  13. I recently had V105s put on, I've found them to be great for road use. I chose them because I'm running 19" wheels and the Michelins were a ridiculous price for what I'm using the car for. From what I've heard the PS4's are a superior tyre, but I have no complaints about the advans.
