So I should collect my 250 next week. It comes with the Steevs. Which although all 4 are immaculate. I am just not a huge fan. From reading it seems that options are limited. What are my standard Renault choices? Also it seems that stock wheels for sale used are like rocking horse s.hit.
These are the standard 250 18" wheels: And these are the standard 265/275 18" wheels: You could also get a different 19" Speedline option that was used on the Trophy-R in red and was an option in black for the Trophy (someone will correct me if I'm wrong about that): The 19" Steev wheels were available in black with a red lip on the Trophy and on later 265 cars too I believe. That's what mine has and they do look a lot better than the diamond cut ones in my view. A bit less "in your face". I must say, none of the OEM wheels really do much for me and, as you say, they don't seem that common on the used market. The Trophy Speedlines are quite nice, but also quite expensive from what I've seen. I'll be going aftermarket I think, as I prefer 18s and there are a few nice options out there.
The one I should be picking up has Steev's on but it is a 250 and they are what looks like Diamond cut outer face and black inner. The ones I have seen are the Speedline 19". Typical. I suspect they are near on impossible to pick up used. Seems to be hard enough to find even the standard 18" as a set.
Many options! The 19" Speedlines are impossible to get used! And you're not the only one looking ;-) I've got a set of 18" Tibor (the set for the 265 / 275) for sale. Got to shop from Netherlands though.
My 18" Wheels may be up for sale soon, not sure if they'd be of interest Currently wrapped in Nankang NS2R's, and would need a refurb as they do have some kerbing. Let me know if they'd be of interest, wouldn't be interested in a swap for the Steevs though sorry!
There's quite a few options just depends on your budget, team dynamic pro race 1.2 for about £600 ktek racing sell the evo corse for £948, My 2 favourite at the minute, the ats gtr and oz alleggerita around £1600 but they are top quality wheels.
ATS GTR won't fit unless you run a fair bit of camber. So not an option unless you're running different suspension/topmounts
I'm planning on running kw club sports then taking it to raeger motorsport for their ring setup. I just want a good 18 wheel that's light
The Raeder setup is nice and well proven. The wheel they use is the ATS GTR, but in 9x17. The offset requires the additional camber. I don't think there is a 18" ATS GTR that would fit the Meganes. The ATS is a nice enough wheel (I run it on another car), but one amongst different "motorsport" options.
Unless it's living at the Ring and doing hundreds of laps a season, I wouldn't bother doing that. Compromise for anywhere else
They were £1000 delivered. Give these guys a shout: https://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/fondmetal/9rr/black/19-inch
