Can someone please post a link for some decent lights? Ones that give decent vision and aren't blowing every month? Sick of jacking the car up all the time just to change a bulb! Thanks in advance.
Yeah probably a bit of an exaggerate but I have changed them a good few times. Got some osram nightbreakers and on top of making next to zero difference, vision wise, they lasted less time than the regular bulbs. I want something bright.
no, don't have to be a nightbraker or any "high performance" bulb. only a genuine osram bulb, of any type. to many fake ones on the market even in stores, and they tend to be junk. they fail, can blow up like a balloon, and even explode (had one headlight with that situation)
Take a look at the PIAA Extreme White bulbs (at Demon Tweeks, or similar), yes they’re expensive but worth every penny in my books, they produce 110w but only draw 55w so don’t risk burning your wiring-loom. I’ve fitted them to every non-xenon car I’ve had and they’re not far off xenon levels.
Sorry but that is not true. A true 110W halogen bulb will produce aprox 20% more light than a 35W oem xenon.. But if you are comparing to pnp xenon bulbs. That barelly outperform a quality halogen bulb. Then ok. They produce almost the same light as pnp xenon bulbs.. But you have to understand one thing. Light cant be magicaly created. For there to be more light with same power, something else have to be lowered. Some of them is CRI (color rendering index) Bulb life (shorter wire that produce the light) Or light modifying filters (also messes with the CRI) that create a fake sense of more powerfull light. Ie, whiter ligjt seam to the eyes as being brighter, while in fact, you see less ... One of the examples are oem led headlights. They produce 1900 to 1999 lumens but have a CRI of ~70to7t% and have a 6500K color temp, and they seam brighter then oem hid headlights that are 5500K (osram CBI) that produce 3200 lumens at 75to 80% CRI which then also apear to produce more light then 4300K at 3400lumens at CRI of 80to85% .. Or much brighter then halogen which produce 1700-1800 lumens at a CRI >95% and 3800K....... Our eyes are deceiving... They are very easy to be tricked to think something is more bright...
