  1. What number does it say on your springs? Know AST rate them in N/mm. Mine says the length of spring and then 70 front and rear.

  2. -Jamie-

    -Jamie- RSM Moderator

    They are 80N/mm

Id recommend trying them first and seeing how you go, They might suit different driving styles

  3. What ride height would you recommend and do I need to fit the drive shaft spacer? Are you running rear camber shims?

Looking at changing top mount plate to gain some caster also.

Mine is set quite low, Maybe a bit too low. Driveshaft spacer is a must and no rear camber at the moment but will be running -1.5/1.75 on the rear axle

  6. Good videos mate...good to see how much mine actually moves about as it feels a lot. Better suspension next I think. Yours looked so stable and planted as I was watching it in the rear view, just waiting on you scooting past.

Haha aye I'm proper chuffed with how it goes now, needs a few tweaks but almost there.

Didn't want to get too close, particularly since I had no confidence in my brake and if they were gonna stop me each time I needed them to

  8. Just watched JamieFYD's video off this

    Car looks and sounds great.

But the comments had me laughing... "shut up about he hybrid turbo" [emoji23][emoji23]!

    YouTube... haha

  9. Agree a good video and a good watch, but the comments from the 12yr old keybashers were poor. Seems like the new norm just to post nonsense in comments for a reaction. Doesn't matter what you watch on YouTube there will always be numpties with a keyboard.

  10. Hi Jamie. Don't suppose you know what the Centre bore is for the superleggera? Can't seem to find any info anywhere as they don't make them anymore. Cheers

    75. something, Think i have spigots in the workshop that i can check

  12. Appreciate that mate. I've just spoke to oz in Italy and they've said 75.0mm not .something

    -Jamie- RSM Moderator

[emoji23][emoji23] cool, I dont have spigots on mine anyway, no need imo

  14. I thought they were a must?! Guess with the way you hammer your car round knockhill they aren't a necessity Haha

Nope, never ran them on stock bolts and now on studs.

They bolts/studs centre the wheel anyway plus plastic ones just melt.

Couple updates, new drivers seat in, old one shall be used for the odd Ring TF trip, also picked up a set of 265 DRLs that will go on as soon as I get a blade to suit, whole the bumper is off I'll be adding some brake ducting. Got a rear arb on at last, makes it a lot more planted but need to get back on track and see how it is under trail braking

Also got some new pads, discs and will have fresh calipers to go on, decided to try some RST3s this time see how they go.

Think that's about it really, got a set of 17x9 ET45 wheels coming to replace my current trsck wheels, shall be shod with 255/40 and 235/45 tyres once I decide what I'm gonna use

  17. ATS wheels? Also interested to hear what you think about the RST3 on the Meg!

Nothing as fancy I'm afraid, just another set of 1.2s.

Will do on the pads, had a few people that also run XP10s asking me to review them as they seem to be very similar but with a bit more feel

  19. Didn't know that they had a 1.2 in that size!
Could you please send/post a pic when you have them on? I suspect they need a fair bit of camber to fit (similar to the ATS)?

  20. -Jamie-

    -Jamie- RSM Moderator

Neither did I til I seen these pop up bit pricey compared to "normal" sizes.

Aye probably will, I'm running - 2.5 on the front and will be - 1.5 on the rear so should have no issues with fitting

  21. How you finding the rear ARB on track?

  22. 265 drl's, don't they wire in differently to 250 units?

  23. -Jamie-

    -Jamie- RSM Moderator

Nope, they plug into the same 6 pin connector on the loom, shall be doing it next week since I finally got the correct blade so ill grab some extra photos and stick a thread up

  24. Ah, I believe the ballasts are included in the 265's? So presume they plug and play, the sidelight signal that switched the 250 units off, must now be the signal to dim?

  25. -Jamie-

    -Jamie- RSM Moderator

Yeah ballasts are built into the unit now, weird thing is the 265 DRL is cheaper from Renault than the 250 one! Aye I hope that's the case for them to dim, be a nice addition to have. bf564ec7284b001106003827c486fd11.jpg

  26. Worth going Hybrid Jamie?

Also, what Intercooler setup you running?

  27. -Jamie-

    -Jamie- RSM Moderator

I wouldnt say it's worth the money tbh, I'm running one of the smaller versions of the Airtec, seems to be upto the job and supposedly has the best core for actual cooling but in reality I don't think there is much real world difference between any of them really

    Update time I guess.

Had a few bits needing doing before Spa a couple weeks back, mainly maintenence stuff really.

Had new front calipers fitted along with some plain Brembo discs and some RST3 up front with some RS44s on the back, couple with Ti shims and Endless fluid im properly chuffed with how great the brakes are now, Zero issues with fade or heat so the ducting definitely seems to be helping.

Also had some AR1s fitted onto my 17x9 track wheels, 255 front and 225 rear, very impressed with how good the tyres are. Near enough a DZ03 for half the cost. Just a bit pants in the cold and damp as I found out early at Spa, particularly under brakes.

Had my front right AST damper fail as well so that put a bit of a downer on the day as it basically meant I had no damping on that corner which really wasn't confidence inspiring particularly on the fast stuff. Still managed Iver 200 miles on track and a 3 min lap with a wounded car though. Plenty to come off that next year with a few tweaks to my setup and working dampers.

That's about it really, few small plans for the winter but not much. Cage, Xenons, lightweight battery and possibly Abs removal then get a full seasons worth of trackdays out it next year.

Not sure if I posted this in here either, sorted some brake ducting out, could do with tidying up the intakes on the grill but function over Form haha, certainly helps with Temps df9ca6502f3c5f7e0b0113d3a4e7af98.jpg f0a7cbe4bca91321e5b185cae4f0f88b.jpg 787f70f437343cbcfcf1929afeeb99d9.jpg a6e43cdbeae09828908edf8aa0b65402.jpg 68dffd13c9906664e61bdab047f6d7aa.jpg 5e2c3958e7631726b2270501cd86d143.jpg

  30. Cars looking well Jamie.

Do the team dynamics 1.2 fit ok with a et45. Sure I read somewhere that you needed 5mm spacers

  31. -Jamie-

    -Jamie- RSM Moderator

Fit fine without spacers but you'll need camber to have proper clearance, I think its just certain ones with specific CB's that need the spacers. My old ones were ET38 and didn't need spacers either

  32. Ah ok. Do you know what the bore size needs to be. What do you think of the fondmetal evo corse wheels kte sell, there nearly double the price of 1.2's can't make my mind up which to buy

  33. -Jamie-

    -Jamie- RSM Moderator

Megane uses 66.1 IIRC, None of my wheels have had the correct CB though, always been bigger.

The Fondmetal wheels do look nice, You'd probably get them a bit cheaper direct tbh. I had looked at them or some Braid wheels but these TD's came up properly cheap in the perfect fitment so snapped them up. Still not sold on the whole 17" thing though

  34. I've seen worse fitting ducting in bumpers, that is a lot of cable tie work though :grinning:

[emoji51][emoji51] keeps the ducting well out the way and hasn't budged haha!

  37. Just read through this whole thread, awesome machine! Great jamie fyd feature too, he did my fiesta the same week. I'm still waiting on picking up my trophy, don't think I'll go as extreme as this with it though, that's what the fez is for lol. Any rs owners meets ever happen up here?

Most "meets" tend to be at KH as there's usually a decent turnout for TDs as that's what a lot of the owners prefer. I'll get a meet of some sort organised though, be good to get a decent turnout of Meganes and try get the forum a bit busier as there are a decent amount around now

  39. What's the benefit of the stud conversion, apart from making it easier sticking your wheels on.

  40. -Jamie-

Main reason I done it really, nuts stay torqued up as we unlike the OEM bolts that loosen off with some heat
