Went up to KH mid week to spectate and give a mate some tuition/share the driving in his JZX100 but ended up giving in to temptation and booked myself on, 15 minutes after the track had opened

Still not sorted my brake problems from last month, IE Old billed fluid, Mild pads and front callipers that don't work that well. Still managed to set a new PB and a goal I've had for a while of getting under 60s. Another second to come off easily and now aiming for 57's

  2. Nice lap.

  3. Your suspension is well setup, the car seems really flat and stable going through Duffus and over the kerbs at Leslie's

  4. Very today lap, track is so much quicker without that big obstacle at the chicane. Back to how it used to be years ago.

Your car looks so nice to drive, cracking top speed hitting the limiter on both straights. What speed is that on the MK3 ?

Erm think its about 120ish on the clocks in 4th, Im curious as to whether short shifting slightly into 5th and using the powr/torque will actually make it quicker or not. Ill need to try logging next time I'm up but it feels better staying in 4th than an extra shift

  6. I have tried going into 5th but I found it made breaking for Duffus that bit harder. I put it down to less engine braking. I started taking Duffus in 4th so I could brake later and smoother, and then going into 3rd for Scotsman. I wasn't timing mind you [emoji23]

  7. I should've said, you definitely get an extra few mph going for 5th.

I tried doing Duffus in 4th before and shifting at the bottom when i had Hamish out with me doing some tuition but he recommended just doing 3rd for it, I am on the limiter in 3rd down through it mind you so it may help.

Next time I'm out ill do some proper testing and see whats quicker, Be good to get back out with fully functioning brakes that slow the car consistently and where i want them to LOL

  9. Yeah, I did spin coming out of Duffus when in 4th so probably not the best technique!

I struggle coming through Leslie's with the OEM suspension, the car moves around a bit too much and I struggle to straighten it up for Scotsman. Quite jealous of your ASTs

  10. Very nice lap! Great sound and drive too!

Get a speedo vid up jamie in gear coz that looks very very quick!

Considering all i have done is stick them on with some decent geometry they are superb, Going to try stiffer fronts, rear ARB and some more rear camber to see how they go then, So composed though

  12. I was the same, used to just hold 4th on the limiter if I had a good enough run to hit it.

The faffing about with two downshifts for 3rd didn't seem worth it.

Reverse is even worse as you really need 5th but then that's 3 downshifts. All that thought and the fact you're sometimes passing someone too scared the shit out of me sometimes

  13. Great video Jamie. Car sounds great and looks like it goes really well. Only around 8 seconds off the BTCC lap record - quite impressive that!
