Tyre Pressure 265 with pilot Sport 4s

  1. Hi Guys,

I've looked inside the car door for recommended pressures but cannot see anything? Can Someone please give me some normal/occasional fast road pressures please?

    Thank you!

  2. Should be there. 32 psi front 30 rear.

  3. For pressing on driving could try slight lower, 30 F 29 R might give more even wear with the PS4

  4. Mine are on 32 F and 30 R

  5. Its actually on the side of the door itself not where the vin number is.

  6. They make them only on 19'' So, 36F and 31R IMHO

  7. That is quite big difference between F and R, also at temp F will be up into 40 psi region so might want to keep eye on tyre centre wear

  8. That is whats it says,(ish)

but I found those pressures to be wrong for any kind of track use as I recently found out to my cost.

I have a RS supplement in with my handbook and it states:

for any track or circuit use, tyre should be 235/40/18s with,

    2.0 bar to the front
    and
    2.1 to the back

I used these pressures on a recent trip to a little place in Germany and found them to be spot on.

Tyre pressures can also be down to a personal choice.

  9. I ran slightly higher pressures to stop the scrubbing on the fronts however still managed to scrub almost down to the side wall writing with the higher pressure" also worn the centre of the tyre down too.
I then lowered the pressures to 30/28 front and worn more of the sides.?
Stock car and stock 19"s with conti 5"s
Am I doing something wrong ?

  10. High castor angle which is normal on a standard car, normal to wear the outside of the tyres on the 19s.
