Hi, Just wanted to say hello as recently purchased my first ever Renaultsport Megane and joined the forum. I used to be on Cliosport.net as had a 172 cup then a 182 in arctic blue with cup packs and recaros.
Seems ok so far, so hopefully it is. You say hope its a good one like they can be terrible? any major common issues with the? (it had hub bearings and steering rack done recently)
if the bearings and rack are done..thats a good start. cambelt and waterpump are a must if it hasnt been done..check the history. clutch,really needs the DMF changed with it when its done,so check that to. In regards to common faults,they are actually very good,with only the swivel bearings,and window regulators being notorious. Get a RS Tuning remap,Shortshift and good brakes and tyres on it,and you will have a fast road car,if everything is straight.
