So I got the car Ring ready... And then it broke down before I even got to the tunnel [emoji23] However it didn't stop me going... managed to get in my mates car and made it to Germany and rented a Swift from Rent4Ring. Couldn't recommend one enough, probably the most fun I've had in a car! Ohlins suspension, full cage, Recaro pole positions, endless pads, it was so over chassis'd it was great! So! The Megane clutch pedal hit the floor... again!! Second time in a month. It runs an R26.R gearbox with a Ktec single mass flywheel kit with helix clutch. The clutch cover, plate and bearing are going off to helix next week. They think the pressure plate could be too much for it... understandable as the pedal is like pressing the brake when it's working it's so heavy. Not a fan of the Ph1's but this one looks brilliant. Seen it on the fb pages - bravo sir Bummer about not getting it to nurburg, it'd take a great pic on racetracker!
So. The uprated flywheel and clutch went in the bin. Replaced with a more than capable R26.R flywheel and clutch for my .R box. Racked up some miles on it this weekend and it's perfect. This car looks bloody wicked, I've always been unsure between which I rather between 225/R26's but seeing this I think has swung my decision! Cracking looking car, with the spec to go with it!
