Dear all, I just have the clutch replaced, a full set of Helix clutch, flywheel and cover last week. Unfortunately the dash prompted the "engine" and "spanner" signs and "CHECK EMISSIONS". The car runs normally and I just couldn't find any useful information about how to cure this. An archive from other forum stated this used to be a common issue "DF457 - flywheel target" but nothing about whether they have it fixed or not. I can see from the second hand section a lot of people selling their cars with single mass flywheel equipped, so has anyone got any idea how to solve it can shed me a light please? Thanks
Hey fella, I had the same message after fitting a smf. The only way to get it fixed properly is to have it mapped out. I changed the hall sensor in the gearbox and fitted some powerflex inserts to firm up.the.engine mounts and touch wood its been fine for about a year with no warning lights Sent from my FRD-L09 using Tapatalk
yes, got that, done that, cleared all codes but it came back when it cruise down from 3k~4k rpm. cleared it so many times but no hope http://www.meganesport.net/community/archive/index.php/t-41739.html from that one RS-Tuning 23-09-2010, 09:08:10 That fault is flywheel target programming not done, it might need to go on the clip to clear all codes and then you need to do a drive cycle in 3rd gear taking it above 4000rpm (i think it's 4) and decelerating 2-3 times in a row, sometimes it can be a pain to do! no hope neither
bit of a shitter that. what's a map cost? around 300? expensive repair then. I had abs and spanner light on my car for about 3 months and it drove me mad so I feel your pain!
if you consider it as a repair, almost 500gbp + courier to Hong Kong is very very high. but if you also count the performance upgrade from a reputable guy then it becomes reasonable (although i have to think it this way because i didn't plan for it). but the lighter smf really makes the car more responsive
