   Does anyone know if a warning gets flagged up if the side impact sensors are removed?

   Yeah I did think it would, I'm guessing if I disconnected the airbag control unit that will bring up an error as well

   Yeh.
   You might get away with resistors as you can in place of an airbag, but I've not seen it done on an impact sensor before.
