If Renault put those front dampers on something like a Megane I'd love one. I owned a Clio 182 for 6 months before I bought the R26 and while it was fun it was seriously lacking in interior quality and safety IMO. They may be good as track cars but they were 'old skool' in 2005 and we've moved on a lot since then!

Thats not what the Trophys are about. I miss mine, you dont feel as connected to the Meg as you do the T, and the Meg feels all big and fat. But i am happy now though . The prices are mad though, only about 330 of them left now, and only so many garage queens left
There's some crazy prices around at the minute on low mileage modern classics. I saw a xr2 the other day up for £27k!! Personally I couldn't pay that for a car that I wouldn't want to drive!
I don't care or mind either way about these prices, except that if you have one of these cars, you then become scared of driving it in case of lowering the value. This obviously happens with any car anyway, but when values increase like this, it can totally change your mindset to the point where you either sell or stop driving the car, neither of which might have been what you wanted to do.
I understand something like a mk 2 escort or Porsche rs going up in value but now it seems anything from a certain era is silly money. Xr3/ xr2 were rubbish at the time compared with the competition. They say a rising tide lifts all sh#t !! I think its investors who aren't really into cars trying to get in on the market. The E30 M3 and Sierra Cosworths are already so valuable that they may not go higher so people assume stuff from the same era will go the same way. It's a shame because people who like to drive older cars are priced out at the moment. One exception is Harry Metcalfe who actually drives the cars he owns - I'm a big fan of his videos.
I get E30 M3's and 996 Porsches to a degree, but a clio at circa £20k is ridiculous. Yes it's a fun car with good front dampers but literally within months these have gone from about £8k to 18, it doesn't make sense. Who the fuck sets these prices? To add, my trophy has Ohlins and is worth about the same money, I can assure you it offers supreme involvement and superior performance, so why would you pay more money for less. If it had 500 miles on it may be worth the money but it's a used car!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I can sort of see the 22B as something that could be worth a lot as a limited edition special. £100k special, who knows. . Rarity / competition heritage will always be strong money.
I agree, only 16 made and it is no. 1, but at the same time it has 57k miles on the clock too, so 100k, I really can't see it.
