250 loss of power & trip warning image?

  1. Hi all, got a strange issue with my 250 hoping someone can help with.

From cold, about 1-3 minutes into a journey at relatively low revs (2nd or 3rd gear) I get a sudden loss of power, depressing the accelerator does nothing, car does not stall or stop, just crawls like in limp mode.

At the same time my trip display turns orange and there is a picture of what looks like a car with 2 arrows/chevrons pointing left (like it's telling me to pull over). I cannot find this picture/warning at all or in the online manual. There are no other warning lights on the dash. The problem seems to rectify itself within 2-5 seconds, trip display returns to normal and the car drives normally giving me no time to take a picture. I've only just got the car, hoping it's nothing too serious!

  2. Anybody pls?? it's driving me nuts, no mention or pictures of this anywhere in the handbook or on the net - has anyone ever seen this before:

Orange triangle with car inside and two arrows underneath pointing (appear animated) left -appears on TRIP computer, associated with loss of power, goes away by itself after a few seconds and car returns to normal - assume it's a warning of some type - but what??

  3. A pull-over warning? That something is not right with the car. Might have to get the ECU scanned to see what codes are bring triggered.

  4. Yeah, that was my first thought but not being able to find the picture anywhere in any of the manuals is frustrating to say the least - an no one else seems to have ever seen it (?). I think a fault code reader may be the next step, cheers.
