So i purchased a menage 225 at the end of January, after driving it a few weeks the oil warning light came on. topped up the oil and went away no issues. last night the oil warning light came on topped it up and away i went. Now its starting to worry me as im insure why its using oil. on startup slight bit of blue smoke then goes away. no known oil on the floor when parked up at night. Going to have a look tonight but anything i can look out for that isnt too complicated.
Don't bother doing the seals, get a whole new core, or a re-manufactured turbo, i bought a brand new core for a 250/265 turbo £180 posted and yes get a decat pipe fitted.
If you are thinking of doing the decat thing why not fit a 250 turbo, with a remap it will give you around 300 hp
where can i get one, can you point me in the right direction. my only worry is the car is on 106,000 miles done want to chuck loads of money at it mind u all the belts have been done and it has had the clutch done. so everything should be good.
There are loads of turbo repair places around, i have used these before http://www.turbocharger-solutions.co.uk/ give some a call and see what they offer, (price, turn around time, warranty etc) 106k miles isn't a lot, i was still using mine on track days with 118k miles on the clock.
