Track/fast road tyres that aren't £££

Discussion in 'Track Days & Track Driving' started by Frimley111R, Apr 3, 2017.

  1. My Meg is only for use on track and, err, spirited drives out with friends. Therefore I can go with semi slick track type tyres but which ones are the current recommendations? Price is not a big issue but avoiding £200 tyres (each) would be better!

  3. Budget? Nankang NS2R.

  4. I'd say r888r for all out performance, and the nankang ns2r for a budget friendly option.

  5. NS2Rs are superb - and not just because they're cheap.

This, Can be had cheaper than the likes of NS-2R's etc and are a better tyre.

  8. M+B Tyres?

  9. Not sure, a fellow hooner is getting me them from Slough I think

  10. I can't find AD08Rs in 235 40 18 for less than £150 fitted - if someone has a better source, feel free to share.

If not, NS2Rs 120 at £75 fitted seems a steal considering the very small delta in grip...

  11. isnt it this ebay guy, that jamie gets his ado8r`s from??

Set of 8x17 rims and 225x45-17 tyres, big saving for that tyre size over the 18s + the option to run 17" slicks.

  14. Cheers but that returned nothing on ebay where those tyres are £150 plus without the fitting - does anyone know where they are £100 please ?
