Hi all i am looking at buying an 07 megane sport with 69k miles on but ive been told its really expensive for the timing belt water pump change to get done. And its supposed to be real difficult to do. Is this true?
Factor in around £500-600 with a RenaultSport specialist and about double from a Renault main dealer.
Could my usual garage (small back street garage) do ot or is it a specialist only job and wotis the time milage intervals?
It's not overly hard to do if you know how but you MUST use the correct timing tools or you will have problems. 5yr/72k mile interval
As stated above make sure he uses all three timing tools and that the horse shoe is genuine Renault as the laser or similar bend!
