I am at the ring on the 16th October for a track day, be great to meet up again, might try and get over before that that though.

  5. October sounds good......also sounds a long way off!! Would be good to see you over the summer....

  6. Awesome car you have there!!! What all has been done to it? What engine mods is the RS 360 running to get to that power?

  7. AWESOME is right! Brilliant standard car now even more up to date and track focused. The engine is fully forged with race pistons and cams, hybrid turbo, cooling, 3" exhaust, up rated brakes and pads(!), Nitron R1 suspension, Helix paddle clutch, single mass flywheel and quite a few other bits and pieces.......other than that its standard officer!
I'm playing with the boost controller set-up at the moment so that it can be a better driver once its optimised for the Nurburgring. You can see in the videos its "interesting" driving on some fairly used tyres in cold conditions. I find it easier to gauge boost by the wheelspin when there is less grip.....fine tuning! When that's done then I will put some new sticky tyres to maximise grip performance....
The MK3 is COMPLETELY rebuilt and is probably one of the fastest Meganes here.....list is too long to start....better knowing it's about €70K to build!!!

That MK3 360 must be a massive spec then if its cost around 70k to build LOL, Either that or prices over there are mental compared to here for bit

ktec probley built it for that

  13. It is massive...I was at Kirfel this morning and there is another client who has just got in a brand new base chassis and they were building the cage into it and then its a ground up build including hand-built intercooler, water injection systems, Quaife/Drexler diffs, custom ECU, plexi windows, roll bars, race suspension and much more. Its not a quick re-map and some stickers for these guys!!! Most of them own other high end cars like Ferrari, Porsche etc and these are track "toys" for them. It is good to get the ideas and staying with them in an old generation R26.R is a lot of fun.......by the way my 250 Cup was not that kind of money either!!

That'a mental money, not slagging the car as its properly quick.

Just mad money when you could build something of equal or better spec for under half that here

  15. Hey...it's their money :grinning:

Thats true, Im just a tight fucker and that sort of money on a build is mental haha, As you say though most of these people that throw that money at them do so as its a toy and they have plenty disposable.
