  1. Have just heard Paul Walker died in a horific car accident yesterday. I'm sure you'll all agree Paul was a big part of what made the fast and furious franchise and will be greatly missed by the fans of this. Our thoughts go out to his friends and family at this tragic time.

I'm gutted about this too, also in a cruel twist of fate I see someone had started an internet hoax about his death the day before he actually died.

  3. Will never be able to look at a skyline the same again! Very very sad news.

  4. Very sad news, too early to go.

  5. Rip, at least he left doing what he loved.

pass in a carrera GT, looks like two cars racing, both are a mess.

  6. Infact looks like its just the one car in two halves. Christ!

  7. Such a shame and at a very young age too RIP paul walker

  8. Absolutely gutted when I woke up and found out this morning, I've grown up with Fast and Furious and it influenced my love for cars from a young age and will do so for a long time! RIP Paul 'Brian O'connor' Walker, never forgotten!

  9. RIP Paul Walker, Fast and Furious will not be the same without him.

Loved him in every F&F movie, even though he played a cop in the first.

  10. Just like to say RIP to the forgotten in this story who's life was no less valuable..

Roger Rodas, seen pictured here with Paul Walker was the driver in that fateful accident. For those that don't know Rodas was the co-owner of a car customisation store with Walker, a race car driver, one of Americas most successful wealth management advisors with Merrill Lynch and tireless charity worker.

I think its a great shame that the media and social networks place more importance on one mans life because he was better known

  11. Very good point. Its a tragedy for all involved.

  12. looks like it could possibly be a steering fluid leak thats caused this..although how they arrived at that is, beyond me with that burnt out mess.
just goes to show, there is no justice in this world that two guys that made it big and tried to give something back, have to go in this horrible way...i just hope they were both killed on impact with
    the car catching fire.

  13. Signs of a fluid burst further back up the road.

  14. Paul Walker Tribute Day 2014
    Saturday 18th January 2014

Paul Walker has become somewhat of an icon in the modified car scene with his involvement in the Fast & Furious films as Brian O’Connor. In real life, Paul was just as enthusiastic about cars and had participated in some organised race series.

Not only is he known for his acting but also for his never ending charity work, in particular the charity he founded Reach Out World Wide. Paul was returning from a charity event when the car he was a passenger in unfortunately crashed killing both Paul and Roger Rodas (driver).

Royston modified originally set up the event to be a car cruise with a few thousand people attending but after a lot of hard work they had soon spread the word and before they knew it there were over 170 car clubs from all over the UK wanting to pay their respects to Paul. Santa Pod Raceway have listened to the calling for a serious memorial event and teamed up with the Royston modified car community and we’re pleased to announce the “Paul Walker Tribute Day” to be held on Saturday 18th January.

All car enthusiasts are welcome to come along and pay their respects, if you wish to attend please visit the Santa Pod Ticket Shop to purchase an entry ticket. These cost £4 of which 100% will be going directly to the Reach Out World Wide Charity whose work is invaluable when natural disasters strike around the world and which Paul Walker felt strongly about. Tickets are limited because we will endeavour to park all cars on tarmac, therefore you must pre-book.

There will be no allocated club pitches available because the is event is intended to bring the whole car community together, by doing this we’ll also create some more parking space.

The Drag strip will be open throughout the day to replicate the 'Race Wars' event held in the first Fast & Furious film (pre-booking is essential as there is limited availabilty on this).

Free child tickets are available for children under the age of 16 (3 per paying adult) but as this is a charity event we’d encourage you to give generously on the day.

Gates open from 8.00am to 5:00pm on Saturday 18th January 2014.

In the event of severe weather conditions, no refunds will be given but we will look to re-schedule the event at the earliest possible convenience.

  15. Just bought a ticket

  16. I'd love to go but thats the one Saturday I'm not going to be able to get off work in Jan! Never mind. Looks like it'll be an epic day.

  17. Is anyone else going to this??

  18. I want to go to this I think it'll be a class day out. Does anyone know if there's still, tickets available ?

  19. There should be. Go on the Santa pod website and have a look, managed to order one for a pal earlier on

  20. I had a look on the link and only found race vouchers which didn't include general admission. I'll keep searching the FB pages. Are you thinking of participating in race wars
