RS Monitor/GPS Lap Times

Discussion in 'Track Days & Track Driving' started by jd -jd, Mar 10, 2017.

  1. Morning People Hope everyone is good out there.
I Have booked on Spa and the Ring in 20 days or so I was hoping on taking my Ring Built car but deliveries from USA have slowed the build down and it looks like I have to take my Cup s instead.
By all means this is not bad news as I prefer to drive the RS at the ring over the M3 to be honest.
Anyway I have been looking at the r links functions and read in the book I (Quote) To save the circuit data please download the application online via the constructors website.......
Now I have googled that quote and cant find any links to down load the files to my laptop or indeed to my usb memory stick.
    So what I'm asking is
1, how do I use the bloody thing as the booklet says plug usb in and flick the screen to save data logging.

I have a race logic box or performance box but thought while I'm taking the megane it has all this built in and why not use the RS Monitor.
If any one uses there for track and has spare time to explain what I need to do before the trip that would be great.
My RS Monitor is on a 65plate cup s if this makes any difference.

    Thanks People

  2. Also What Memory usb stick shall I get to save a 3 day stay at nurburg and 1 day at spa?

  3. I use it like this;
Follow this link and set-up an account
    https://www.renaultsport.com/rsp/#/

Use an existing track layout or draw one using the google maps feature on the website. Download and save it onto a memory stick using the correct folder directory set-up as described on the renaultsport forum.

Plug the stick into the car and locate it using the RS Monitor screen 6 or 7 I can't remember. Then set it to start logging the data when you're ready.

The worse bit is setting the track up on the website. Once that is done you're away. You can even export the data from the site to excel

Sorry it's not terribly detailed but I hope this helps.

    Cheers

  4. Loads mate what size USB do you use

  5. Any stick produced in the last ten years will do. The files are very small.

I have one of the below permanently attached which will record forever, and stores hundreds of albums worth of music too.
