You'd only need one per side as the top bolt goes into a pin and the pin itself fits into sealed bearings with races. It's the lower bolt that bottoms out into the cup bearing. The grease nipple allows grease to be packed up into the cup bearing and presumably find its way to the needle rollers.
So where does the old grease go when the new stuff is pumped in? I guess they're is a small chance you could force that oil seal out! If the old grease has washed away then it wouldn't matter. Either way it's a great idea. These still available? RS 175 Lux
