Had to fix this at a Bedford track day last weekend as well.... i took some photos to post up here as i was struggling to find anything, will post up a thread, 2 mins...
Incidentally I think I had this today, in a mk3 (RS250) Pedal didn't come up and went very soft... rather worrying !
I have had this as well, was a failed slave cylinder, not the nicest of feeling when queing to get off the Ring with a clutch that is heavy/soft/no pedal lol
Hi, how do u know if it's the slave or master cylinder that failed? Sent from my A1601 using Tapatalk
Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum and Renault brand. I work for BMW in sales and my client traded in her mint RS265, vehicle was(until I got it) totally unmolested and fully loaded with every possible option. I saw an opportunity to buy it at a bargain price (ZAR180k/US$12000) and after driving it I fell inlove and traded in my gt86 for it. I drive bmw's all day and have a drifting background but this thing gave me a different tingle... Anyway, getting to the point I took it on the track wednesday night and all was perfect, little bit of clutch smell during my runs but nothing excessive, clutch pedal still fine. So as i'm heading home I stand at the robot and all the suddent the clutch pedal starts to go soft and eventually stick to the floor. I checked brake fluid is burnt and cant see any leaks. I have only had it two weeks and know parts for these cars are costly, even compared to bmw. Can someone please advise what they think is wrong and what I should do. I dont trust our renaults workshops as they are multifranchise and dont have specialists in RS cars doing the work.
