Hi, I fitted a double din android head unit today which works great. The problem is it forgets the radio pre sets every time I get out of the car. Is there a permanent live nearby which I can use?
Theres a perm live and switched live in the ISO connector. Could you just of gotten them the wrong way around?
Permanent live and switch live are the wrong way around, they normally have a little bullet connector on the iso loom so you can swap the two cables over.
Ahhh the red and yellow wires? There aren't any bullet connectors in the loom for this stereo but I can cut and reconnect them myself. Will the unit still switch off after taking the card out and opening the door?
That's the ones, yeah it'll still switch off, perm live is to keep your radio stations and settings etc, switch live is basically just to tell the unit to turn on/off.
All done. Really pleased with this unit. I'll get the paint on the panel sorted out when it all comes out again for the underseat subwoofer(s) install :-)
