Car covers ?

  1. Has anyone ever used a car cover for outdoor use?
If so do you have any recommendations please?
Ive just bought new discs and pads all round, I dont use mine as a daily driver so I am trying to help to reduce the amount of rust on the discs.

    Cheers.

  2. Car cover won't help to prevent rust on disks. If anything it would worsen it.

  3. I live in a fairly exposed location so just trying to keep the rain off the discs.

  4. Drive it more :tongueout:

Space Cadet and BIG E like this.
  5. Water will just be retained underneath the cover (regardless on how good t breaths). And you might have issues with scratches and marks with a cover.

  6. Change the disks for some stainless steel ones......

More seriously a car cover will do nothing, maybe a carcoon with some dehumidifier but then that's silly money to prevent a process that is pretty normal.

  7. outdoor car covers are crap..had one made by specialist car covers for my integra type R...nightmare to put on...lets water through anyhow..and damaged my paint..dont bother..

  8. Cheers for your replies..

  9. I've got one which I bought for my 250. It'sbas close to perfect fit wise as I could buy. Paid 200quid for it and used it for 3 months.
    Yours for 50quid

  10. Can you rent a garage nearby? Far better option than an outdoor car cover.
