R26 or RS 250

Discussion in 'Wanted' started by markoc, Jan 20, 2017.

  1. Hi I'm looking for a clean R26 or RS 250. Ideally LY for R26 but I would consider anything that is in excellent condition and that has some desirable mods. The same applies to a RS 250.
I have just sold my own car so have cash waiting.
I'm willing to travel to anywhere in the UK for the right car!

Pm me if you are considering selling.

    Thanks,
    Mark

  2. BUMP

I'm getting 'empty garage anxiety' and am in need of something to fill that empty space!

Really like the silver R26 currently for sale but just wanted to see if there were any LY R26 owners out there thinking of selling as it would be my first choice.

    Thanks

  3. Think there was a couple of LY R26 for sale on the meganesport.net facebook page.

  4. Thanks for the 'heads up'

  5. Lad on Facebook selling ly one

  7. Seen a few LY for sale on FB and Gumtree, but i think that i'm far more likely to find a well looked after example from this forum of PH. I've bought/sold a few of my cars through forums and PH and think it gives you the best way to get an honest representation of a car.

Hoping to be a RS Megane owner very soon!

  8. Just wanted to check to see if anyone is thinking of selling up soon!

I've had a few people get in touch with some really nice cars but I wanted to see if there is anything else out there before I make a decision.

    Thanks!

  9. Anyone thinking of selling soon?
Been checking the usual autotrader, PH, FB etc but none of them have been quite what I'm looking for.

    Send me a PM
    Thanks

  10. Ah man, I'd almost be tempted but Ive a plan to save up for something a bit special in a couple of years and I got a low mileage 2010 cup which is turning out to be a great choice to have some fun driving while not costing the earth.

Hold out a bit longer if you can, something will always come up. Going across to the 'big island' too much hassle? :tongueout:

  11. I was planning on buying a nice 250 cup today. I was in touch with the seller and we agreed a price but then he decided to add £800 on to the asking price!!! He thought he had priced it too cheaply in the original ad!
    So the search continues....

  12. what a wally..he will just end up knocking off the £800 in the end..as people wont be exactly queing up to buy!

What spec was on the 250?

you want a mega clean R26?..here it is..last page

  13. It was an ideal spec OG, leather recaros, xenons, 18's and RS monitor. It needed belts done, serviced, tyres and a few other things but ended up over my budget.

The car in the link looks very nice! Black and Silver would be the last 2 colours of choice personally - but thanks for the link

  14. yes..but it will be a mint car..and mint R26`s are few and far between these days..
Look at the attention to detail...unmarked alloys, premium tyres..even the wheel nuts are new...now that's a person that spares no expense on a car..

I know what you are saying about black..but if its been cared for..it will gleam..
you are obviously a man that likes his car to be spotless looking at your clio..

Its always nice to see a car in the flesh to...My ultra blue R26 looked flat in the photos..not the case when you actually see the paintwork.

It regards to black paint...I have just bought a metalic black swift sport..and on anthracite alloys it looks fab..

  16. Agreed that black can look really good! It's just that it shows up swirls and scratches so easy that it would drive me nuts trying to keep it immaculate - that's speaking from experience
BTW I've always liked the Swifts! A great driving car that you can have a lot of fun with on the road!
    Nice choice!

  17. I bought it to replace my wifes ageing puma..which itself is a seriously under rated drivers car...the puma actually has a far better engine..more torque, and 10+ extra MPG!

But I was genuinely shocked at how capable the swift is on a twisty road...the gearshift is like a rifle bolt!

  18. I found the car I was looking for and bought it on Thursday.
It was very well looked after and maintained to a very high standard by a fellow forum member (poseidon52) and I'm very pleased to be the new owner!

Great car with all of the right mods!

  20. It definitely feels more grown up than the Trophy - you can tell it's bigger and heavier but the extra power is nice
