Went to Knockhill on Saturday, Was hot.

Ruined some Tyres, Brakes, Set a new PB and burnt a LOT of fuel.

Will get a proper report up over the next couple days once some in-car footage has uploaded.

  6. I was always too scared to take my R26 on Knockhill after seeing some 'youngfla' drive his Citroen AX GT into the back of a 911 Turbo, hope he was insured.

  23. That looks well. Love the wheels. Might change colour of my wheels looking at ur photo as mm mk3 250 cup in same hue. 365bhp must be really quick on track mine with just under 300horses feels quick enough.

  24. Fantastic update Jamie. That's a weapon

Thanks, it's only really been the last year that the mods have gotten serious, a testament to how good they are out the box.

Always amuses me when people buy them then throw money at them straight away pointlessly without even learning how to fully exploit the chassis.

  26. Lol that's the car people for you... I have racer friends that are genuinely impressed with the times the stock car does. I'm so tempted to start playing with it as I know it'll be quicker still but it's already quicker than most things in track and it can get boring.
Yours will be sibnificantly quicker still.
I doubt it'll be long before we see some trick Meganes like yours being competitive in Motorsport.
    Any pans for it?

We have SLS up at Knockhill which was meant to be a cheap way to get into motorsport, Kinda like Time Attack on a budget. However over the last few years of it running its went the way that all race series do and turned into a money thing if you want to be the quickest. Ill probably still do a couple rounds as the Megane will still be competitive but ill need to either turn the boost down or give it more/less weight as the classes are done on power to weight.

  28. Love what you've done so far, turrets look neat as well! :sunglasses:

  29. Nail on the head mate. I've watched this series develop and if you want to be at the front then its cash and quality parts/set-ups now. Some of the machinery is frightening and outstanding in equal measures. Been on track at a couple of their trackday sessions last year and was shocked at the pace of some of the top cars.

  30. I did SLS last year 2016 and ran between class F and E in my 172 Cup Clio. Highly recommend it, great series and great bunch of guys. I didn't spend a lot, couple new front tyres every round, fuel and entry that's about it.

  31. Cracking Megane too Jamie

  32. Definitely recognise this one from Clio land. Looks good. Hopefully have one of my own soon!

  34. I loved the AD08s when I ran them on my Clio. They took some proper stick, so many heat cycles it was silly.
They did end up giving the ghost a bit when the oils bled out of the rubber but even then they still worked but just lost the edge a bit.

    Good choice

  38. Brilliant thread!!!

What's the theory behind using 18"x9" at the front and 18"x8" on the rear? (That is, if that's what you're doing.) Rather than 18"x9" all round?

It wasn't really by choice, I had bought the wheels on the understanding they were all 9j but when they showed up they wern't [emoji23]

  40. Cool. I was wondering if there was clearance or other issues with fitment, that's all.

Such good info here from your experience!
