so decat fitted. took about 3 hours on a ramp. straight forward just fiddly in places. mid box delete will be in the week. but for no she sounds amazing on boost with rediculous great big thumps of over run explosions Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Gave the car a quick wash to get rid of all the salt and grime. Nothing major as when I went to polish it started raining. Also ordered Cup suspension and gram springs and a powerflex handling pack. Also new exhaust mounts. So just under £700 spent and now i'll need someone to fit them for me. Only bought the 225 as a cheap run around and i've now spent more on the car sorting/uprgrading bits than I have on the car!!
Cheers mate, how's the exhaust sounding. (is it a CGR automotive part?) Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
nope.. went miltek in the end. helps that I sell them along with many other things so i get to give myself a little trade discount sounds really good. lots of turbo spool out of the back on boost and some good cracks and pops out the back when lifting off. measuring up for the mid box (which is HUGE) delete in the week. need to get tracking Monday as it's a little out since subframe off today for the decat. I know the cgr quality looks great and is. but for a decat the pipe is very straight forward so wasn't going to spend the extra on theirs just for the sake of it. if that makes sense. Makes a lot of sense, we can quite easily be blinded by beauty when function should always come first. I still want one of there titanium systems though. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
Watch out for the poor quality of Miltek stuff, My downpipe sheared the bracket of it after only a year, Quite a common issue with poor welding on Miltek stuff these days
I know what you mean. its been getting progressively worse for a few years tbh, don't know why though. we get most of our stuff custom made for customers nowadays, but some want the brand name. I did it just for cost and convenience this time around.
That's where I am at. Came from UR RS3 which surprisingly lasted 20k miles in 16 months. Quieter, softer ride and better lateral grip. Not that I've pushed them as it's been raining and -2 to 4 deg C since putting them on.
...and maybe a CGR decat and ideally a Wagner cooler before getting the map tweeked again. Maybe a short shift and better gearbox mount, better brake pads also, lol, Slippy slope!
Gave the inferno a wash then polish and after a coat of g4 wax... Also had my CGR Cat back system fitted recently which I'm more than happy with
DPF + EGR delete + remap. 158bhp to 197bhp. Torque now at 304 ftlbs Not shabby for 147k RS 175 Cup Lux
ASTs fitted, all 4 swivels changed and the turrets modified to allow on car camber adjustment, running - 2.5 at the moment but got the option to run - 4 degrees
