RS250 Cup Upgrades

Discussion in 'Megane Projects' started by Jon Birkett, Feb 4, 2017.

  1. Hi just taken the plunge booked my 250 into RS Tuning for new exhaust turbo back, intercooler, induction kit and remap. Two weeks can't wait. I guess loads have done the same on here and in anticipation of the extra power changed discs and pads plus upgraded break hoses and fluid. Will wait to see what I get back and will report back. Just want some lovely new 19" alloys.

Oh forgot going for a new vinyl gloss back roof.

  2. All of that sounds great but without any pictures you have failed.

    Get some pics up.

  3. The normal order for upgrades is tyres, pads, fluid, driver tuition. But a bit more power is always going to be fun in its own way!

  4. Mine is currently only running an RS tuner map (not RS Tuning but the plug in type one) which was on the car when I bought it 3 weeks ago, I have waiting to go on Coilovers, pads, braided lines, waiting on wheels and tyres to turn up and debating on anti roll bars, then i'll be doing turbo back exhaust, intercooler and mapping. And last thing probably over winter will be a full welded in cage once the car is stripped out.

  8. Done the upgrades but completely shot myself in the foot turned up with a tank of shite cheap fuel. Nightmare trying to get it right. Gave up at 300bhp. Going to run a few tanks of 97 or 99 Ron through the car and get a second remap should get 20bhp more.

However the difference even 50bhp makes is staggering massively happy with RS Tuning. The noise from the Miltek is awesome add in the induction it makes a significantly upgraded sound track.

Spirited drive home led to ridiculous grin factor the change in torque and acceleration is fantastic. Adds 10-15 mph between corners. Quite mental.

Addicted now so going to order a hybrid turbo and 630 injectors. Perhaps not now but in a couple of months.

  9. Have you got the Milltek sports-cat front pipe now, rather than a downpipe sports-cat?

I ask as I currently have the Milltek cat back system and I bought a de-cat down pipe on the group buy but now I'm thinking I should ideally fit a front pipe sports cat like this one : http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=4430&appid=20 at the same time in order to pass an MOT. I've not contacted Milltek yet to see how much they charge for the similar part but I bet it's just as expensive.

  10. I had the RS Tuning version fitted sport cat I have been told it will pass an mot.
