I got a 2010 Megane 250 and I wanted a gauge to tell me my boost pressure, oil temp etc etc. I have the caramat tomtom so no RS Monitor for me unless I can have both somehow? Is there anything similar to the P3 Gauges for the Megane?
That's just a boost gauge? I was looking for an all in one monitor of some sort, I guess the RS Monitor would be ideal but I can't have that and the tomtom
Sorry didn't read your first post properly. Don't think there is much out there for the Mk3 due to most having the RS Monitor which you obviously can't have due to having the Nav unit.
I don't think it will do oil temperature/ pressure as I think it is a calculated function on the rsmonitor and there is no actual sensor but will do most other stuff, or could get a Android head unit and install torque on it? (Same thing with the oil temp/ pressure). I may be wrong as I'm not massively clued up on the mk3's Sent from my HTC Desire EYE using Tapatalk
The scangauge looks like a good shout. Just don't know where I'd mount it. But like @jjones82 said it doesn't give me the oil temp etc. I guess finding something that will give me the oil temp as well, will be difficult?
As far as I know, without fitting a sandwich plate and a separate sensor for oil temperature (and a second for pressure if you wanted it). Nothing will show oil it. I don't think the mk3's have a separate sensor and the temperature is calculated from the data from other sensors. I think the scan gauge can take inputs from extra sensors as well as taking data from the obd but I would double check that first, before taking it as gospel Sent from my HTC Desire EYE using Tapatalk
Oh okay. Thanks for the info. I spoke to someone at P3 and they said one of their gauges should work with the Megane but can't guarantee that it will. He also said people have done custom installations before so I wouldn't be the first person to do that
