Well that's a whole lot of fun not used race mode till tonight for a bit of xmas day spirited driving It certainly comes to life when the car is not making the decisions
I was gong to say, be careful with everything turned off, especially at this time of year. Having said that, it's 10° here, well within even summer tyres range - crack on!
It's not cold at all down south so no probs with ice just a little moist under foot but the super sports handle that just fine
Used race mode once in damp conditions and my god was that terrifying!!! Would love to use it on track or when the weather gets much warmer..
I run cup2s and that didn't stop the car drifting into the opposite lane!!! Absolutely mental and I'm sure it would be great fun in warmer climate and a controlled environment....
If your driving it in a way that the ESP is intervening on the road and holding the car back, Even in sport, Then id suggest you need to stop driving like a bell and go do some TD's.
Spirited drive does not make it bellend driving I was meaning in the corners when you lean on her the traction kicks in before the diff does it job
It really doesn't, be smoother and you'll very rarely have any intervention. Even with 365bhp I have to properly provoke it to get it to cut
I am trying to get my head round that one - and I am not sure which works first, diff or TC. On reflection, I thought the TC would only intervene once the diff has done its best in the traction zone but then again, the diff will generate a rotational speed differential which would in turn trigger the TC. I agree with Jamie though, smooth throttle modulation should prevent the orange light to manifest itself.
You need a big enough difference in wheel speed/torque to make the diff start locking, for it to work. The TC stops this difference from happening mostly IMHO. Sport mode allows it though. You can feel it on the road, the line tightening and quelling the understeer. You can feel it on, say, a NSL roundabout or motorway slip road, without driving like a bellend. I agree that driving smoothly is generally better, but its not as much fun.
