Hi all, I've had my 2015 Mégane 265 for a couple of months now, but due to a house move and a new baby girl cub I haven't got round to posting this. Problem is with my R Link monitor. When I use the joystick I find that I can't highlight all options. For example if I'm changing albums on my ipod I can't scroll down using the joystick, I have to physically press the screen, which is a pain when driving and also dangerous. Its not just with ipod though, say I'm setting the Satnav and it comes up with a sub-menu of 4 items, the first will be highlighted, which I can click using the joystick, but cannot click down to move the selection. On the main menu the joystick highlights in all directions so that rules out a malfunction in the actual joystick, and it's all updated to the latest software. Sorry for the long-winded post, it's just driving me up the wall and want to know if anyone else has this issue or whether their joystick can happily move and select things all over the screen and scroll up and down lists/selections. Mine works fine, you have to click it down to go to the submenus at the botom tough, it wont scroll outside the screen that's selected. You probably already knew, but just in case
Mine has started doing this the past couple of days too, pain in the ass! Also the RS monitor bit has disappeared from the screen and I've no way to access it! I'm going to try taking the battery off...
There is a setting for that, in the home screen press + and there should be a option screen layout You can also acces it by selecting the r sport logo in the top where the clock and notification are
Sorry, that's what I meant, the Rsport logo has disappeared from the top of the screen! I've no idea why
Sorry if this is dumb question OP (from the post I can't tell), but you are rotating the joystick as well as clicking N,S,E & W aren't you? I've never in 18 months of ownership found a need to press the screen directly (and so it's never had any fingerprint marks on it). Everything it doable from the joystick control.
Same, I never normally use the screen but recently it's played up and will move on some menus with the stick. For example, I would try scrolling through the letters to enter an address and nothing would happen. But it would work fine if clicking up,down etc
Boy do I feel like THE WORLD'S BIGGEST DIV! Thank you Xanda, I didn't realise the knob rotated, I thought it was just a joystick. Maybe I should read instruction manuals... I shall now retire to under my technophobe's log, but know that I am thrilled to learn this and have been scrolling up and down my ipod song list with gay abandon!
lol - don't worry about it. Everybody has to learn things, nobody was born with knowledge. That has made me laugh though
