R26 Exhaust

  1. Apologies if this has been done to death already

Just wondering what experiences people have had with upgrading the exhaust on an R26 in terms of sound and performance gains?

The standard exhaust is so quiet especially coming from a C63, even with the interior stripped out.

My car is used 90% of the time on track so it can't be too loud and the other 10% is on the road so going with a decat is a no go as I don't know a friendly mot tester anymore like in my Evo days.

There seems to be a fair amount of choice out there.

    Thanks

    Bin the cat

I had a Miltec on mine when i bought it, still had the cat fitted and no exhaust box's, yes straight through and was about 88-92 db on a track day noise test.
Fitted a de-cat pipe and it went up to 119db, so fitted a Scorpion system with no center box and it is back down to 90-92db ish depending on the track

    Hello,

We sell fully customisable systems for Megane's so can cater to your exact noise requirements as each system is built to order.

There's a couple of threads on here of people who've fitted them so it's worth a search

  4. I don't really want to get rid of the cat so I can run the car on the road so I'll probably look at a sports cat. I might take the car off of the road in future but I want to keep it road legal for now so I can run it in between track days and test any new mods.

Around 95db would be a good noise level without failing static noise tests I think

  5. Hello, I did see your name come up on a couple of threads I'll give you a ring when I get a minute.

  7. They must have very clean air in their workshop

  8. CGR can make it as loud/quiet as you want..
It's the decat that makes the noise...
