Destroyed my brake pipes!

  1. Had plenty of issues with my meg due to it spending 5 years in Aberdeen and it's rotted lots of fixings in my car, so this brings me to my next issue went to fit my braided hoses yesterday only for 3 of my brake pipes have corroded on the fittings and ended up snapping when I've undone them.

To to it off Renault don't sell them either! My question is has anyone every replaced the drivers brake pipe from the master cylinder I can see it runs along the bulkhead behind the heat shield and looks a right pain to change.

  2. the exact same thing has happened to mine 2day! Renault do sell them,

  3. do you have a part number?

  4. I'd just get a pipe made up in copper/cupro nickel.

  5. hi,
sorry you are correct, now Renault say they don't do them,
gonna have to go down the route smegal suggested

  6. Yeah there is a local motor factors tome that will make them up if I take the pipe in. Looks a right poo job to get it off the bulkhead!

  7. mine is at a Renault specialist and he says that the book says its a engine out job!,
he is going to take the cat out and driveshaft to try and get to it that way

  8. Bugger only just put my exhaust and on!
