Hi Guys Finally decided that I'm gonna take it up to Leeds for a remap from essex. But I just wanted to quickly ask a few questions and was hoping someone could help: 1. I have the rs monitor in my car and can tweak the throttle maps, would this all go following a remap? 2. Assuming the rs monitor will still work, would I still be able to pick, snow, normal, sport, extreme throttle mapping? 3. Do RS tuning offer removal of the middlebox? If so, how much 4. The website is showing a remap cost of £474, is there an offer for users of this forum? Thanks.
Remap have nothing to do with RSmonitor and throttle mapping, it is a whole different thing, so YES, you can still use the settings as they are now. For the last two questions, i cant comment as im not local but im quite shure anyone can do the midbox chop.
I cant comment on your questions,but I can tell you you wont be disappointed with the results. Had my stage 1 on the car for years..it transforms it.
You asked the question the first time in August 2015....you not actually found out yet by speaking to RS?
Thanks guys, it was more for quesitons 1 and 2. Besides RStuning, who other tuners can I use, I'm looking for a more local one to essex, Leeds is just too far. I'm used AMD essex on my seat ibiza before. Thanks.
Really! Anyone who owns a drivers car (like us all here) I thought would like driving, it's really not that far....
RST aint the be all and end though, I wouldn't travel the distance and i certainly didn't even with my Hybrid setup. Not to mention all the calibrations come from the same source anyway....
Has anyone had there Megane remapped by EFI Parts in Runcorn, Cheshire? There is group by on atm for around £270
I've not used any of these guys but: - GI Motorsport (use Collins performance maps) Kilmarnock - eco tune Hillington - sos Motorsport Falkirk to name a few. Their are loads.
My mate Andy works in Gi motorsport plus it's in the same town I stay but just wondered if there was anywhere people could recommend. Gi had a OG megane in with a rod through the block last week. Is it an ecu out job for remap? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ecotune in Hillington near Glasgow have remapped a number of Meganes, my own included. I think @-Jamie- has used them to map his Megane too.
As I said they do their own stuff and are meant to be good although quite a few of the ford boys have disputed the power claims after testing cars on other rollers. I've also been told they are expensive. I don't know. What I do know is they didn't reply to my enquiries where the other two listed did. I know it just takes me to ring them but thats not always easy in my job. I'll possibly use Unicorn in Stockport

No sorry it would still work, the engine map is separate to the throttle map as the throttle mapping done by the rs monitor is just the input->output mapping for the fly by wire.
