Daft question alert. . . But this would do nothing power wise for a standard car right, as boost etc is all controlled by the ecu. I'm used to old school turbo cars where a decent fmic would just produce more boost out the box. Less restricted I guess .
You are right, on the Megane the boost is controlled by the ECU. It will however affect the spool up time (lag) due to different volume over OEM intercooler. On the plus side, it is less likely to suffer from heat soak which is common on the OEM ic on track.

Great price at £320 and a worthwhile upgrade for anyone planning on some track days where the OEM intercooler is quickly overwhelmed. I'dve snapped this up if I hadn't just fitted a new Airtec intercooler .

Right I have taken the intercooler off and taken the pictures below. It is a bit heavier than I thought so ideally I do not want to post as would cost a lot. I have had a lot of interest and apart from a tiny bit of paint chip on the air lip not the intercooler itself it is in near perfect condition as per pics.
