    Hi Guys
Has anyone fitted a 250 turbo to a 225, i presume yes, but did you get it map upgrade straight away or used it for a while or didn't bother, my car has been getting louder with a what sounds like an air leak when on boost, so today i thought i would look for the leak.

after taking off the air intake pipe i thought i would check the turbo and my turbo has no up and down movement but loads of in and out play.

I have a track day on Saturday and only have a new 250 turbo, does anyone think it would be okay to use, my car has already been mapped.

    Cheers Ian

  2. No problem in using the 250 turbo, just fit the 225 actuator as long as you're not going in for mapping

    Many thanks for that mate
Do you know what the difference is in the actuators is, just curious

  4. I didn't bother changing the actuator, although I had mine mapped at the same time with 630cc injectors. Is there any difference in the actuator?

I am changing the engine in the new year, just didn't want to kill the engine before then as i have booked Donington on Friday, there is also a drift and drag meet in Cornwall in December so i would like to do that.

well it's up and running again :sunglasses:, fitted the 225 actuator as advised can't really see any difference so there must be a boost pressure related thing.
so i am okay for Donington again

  6. I was told not to boot it before mapping by a few reputable specialists. Ok to run on but not wringnits neck. Good job too as I later found out injectors where at 105% and would of give up had they been pushed.

Mine has been mapped but on a 225 turbo, hoping its going to be okay on the 250 turbo :worried:

  8. Id be worried it might run a little on the lean side. My injectors are at 95% currently on a 225 turbo running 280hp. Appreciate the map will govern within its limits but if the 250 turbo over boosts for any reason then goodbye engine. I'd maybe have a little talk to Paul at RST if he's back from his jollys! Engine going pop before Christmas is not something anyone wants.

  9. 250 actuator does about 700-750kpa on gate, 225 actuator does about 400kpa
