I have a bit of rust on my boot lid. It's the strip which the high brake light sits on. Paint seems to be coming away pretty much right along the strip and I've been quoted 140 quid to get the strip sprayed.

Looking on eBay I could get a boot lid for less than 140 although there aren't any in black at the moment on eBay.

How easy is it to replace a boot lid and if anyone had one for sale can you get in touch. Mine is a black 225 2006 reg.

  2. just remove the spoiler and repair and paint it, you would be looking at about £130

It's going in on Friday. Was quoted 140 but noticed my arches are looking rough at the bottom so he's doing both sides plus boot for 240.

  4. I was going to say, don't mess about getting another boot lid - just get the original repaired. Fair maintenance on a ten year old car really.

Yeah as long as it gets me through next year I'll be happy. Will get rid then.

  6. Why mate, have you got other issues with it?

Guy who's spraying it said the arches would probably last a few years so I'd want rid before then. There's a knock at front on drivers side occasionally too when I turn right or go over bumps.
Actually really like the car but think I bought a bad one.
When I had springs done, 1 was already lowered and other 3 were standard.
