For Sale K-Tec cat back exhaust system for Megane 3 Rs 250 & 265. http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=3608&appid=20 On my car for less than 400 miles, so basically as new, excellent quality exhaust and fits perfectly. No catch, just a bit too loud for me. This is a picture of the exhaust, taken tonight, as you can see, perfect condition (Yes, I polished it all up with metal polish ). £400 I'm based close to junctions 6 and 7 of the M25, would prefer collection, but could possibly organise courier at extra cost.
Anybody interested in this? Still for sale.... A few enquiries and one time waster who was due to collect it yesterday. As new, in fact t's probably shinier than when i got it since I polished it up, 140 quid less than a new one from K-Tec, I could probably organise a courier from work if not close enough to collect.
Well, to pack it properly it needs to go in a pretty big box, which will go in the back of the Meg no problem with one half of the rear seats down. Although I notice you are in Holland, I would imagine it would be pretty expensive to courier over there..... I have it packed inside this Milltek box at the moment, so not exactly small......
The K-Tec has a deeper tone to it and is a bit loader, the Milltek is a little bit quieter and more subtle and make the wife complain less (but not much).
Yeah I know what you mean mate, it's not a massive difference, Milltek is quieter and it is definitely enough of a difference to make the switch worthwhile for me, if that makes sense?! Louder pops and bangs with the K-Tec though....
Right, been messed around with this twice now, people say they want it and then not turning up etc, so still for sale. £375 as I need the space in my garage. Bargain as they are £538 plus postage from K-Tec
What a pain in the arse some people are. I mean it's practically brand new, you either want it or you don't. Just ask for a deposit if someone says they want to collect it. That will weed them out.
Sorry to drag up an old thread I'm looking at getting a new cat back for my cup-s but don't want an exhaust that drones on motorway journeys. Is this why you got rid of the k-tec?
Yes, I didn't like the sound of the K-Tec at all to be honest. But that's just me, many are happy with them including Nick, who I sold it to. I swapped it for the Milltek which was much better for me. I have the Akrapovic on my new Cup-S which is perfect, absolutely spot on for me (as it should be for the money). I'd also look at CGR exhausts, a few threads on here, look great quality.
Wish I had the akra but couldn't quite justify (or afford) it. The car is truly incredible and I love everything except the exhaust note as it just doesn't reflect the car. I'm surprised there is much difference. Will defo have to have a proper look. Thanks for the advice.
Just out of interest, have you gone for the quieter EC Milltek with the additional silencer, or the one without?
I decided on the non resonated (non EC approved) installed and bought at K-tec. I absolutely love it, Well worth the money. When just pootling about its nice and civilised but when you push it it Comes alive, Lovely and deep. Would definitely recommend it.
