Cheapest Renault pads?

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by git-r, Aug 25, 2016.

  1. Hi all,

I've called my local Renault dealership about gettin some front and back pads for my 250 cup.

The front retail at about £130 but with discount are about £100

The rears are about £50 with discount.

I've seen some pads online that are supposed to be Renault but are only £50 for the front.

Any recommendations to get them cheaper?

    Thanks

  2. Renault Wolverhampton. Quote this forum and the fronts are 54 quid

I'll try and find a part number to quickly reference and see if they're the same as the ones Renault would supply..

Unless anyone knows the cup part numbers?

  11. Lol I
Must have pressed the order button the very moment you posted that!!!

Thank you again for this - no idea what these will be like on track but for the money it's definitely worth it for having a spare set! Will report back if I ever use them on track

    Cheers!!!

  12. Bloody hell.

At 25% off I took a punt for the front pads and ordered a set yesterday with click and collect - £33. Glad i didn't go get them this morning now. Just re-ordered a set with free delivery. £31. Awesome!

These'll get me through the winter when I take the CL's out later.

I don't suppose anyone knows if these are the same as what Renault supply do they?

    Purely out of curiosity.

  14. I don't think so.

The ones on the back of mine are ferrodo and I think that is the original part. Perhaps someone else can confirm?

The brembo parts should be good, at £50 for a full set it's a no brainer - I've bought a set for spares

I've also just got a complete set of discs and pads from Renault Wolverhampton - huge thanks for this heads up - thoroughly recommend the place - very helpful!!!!

    £460 delivered.

That's incredibly good value for money given the braking performance. The front discs alone on my track car are £600+!

  15. Oem pads are indeed, ferrodo. Im just on a set of brembo`s own pads, there ok. Sometimes intial bite can be abit, meh. Im trying trw`s own pads next. £50 front and back.

  16. I am using TRW ones now under my 250 front brakes, and i have to say i would never buy them again. Bite seems much lower than Brembo ones had, and whats even worse, pad surface compared to OEM or some other pads are much smaller !
