Got mine booked in with Gaz on saturday morning for MOT and to try and trace a metallic pinging noise from front N/S when starting off etc. I think it could be pad retaining spring but I'm no mechanic lol Only heard good things about him on here so I'm sure he'll find it
Thanks Ian, I wasnt even aware that there was many Renault Sport Specialists around here, which is good. My Dad is a very good mechanic, but i want to keep the service history full! Let me know how you get on please mate
Another vote for Birchdown from me. These guys are fantastic. Andy even disabled his own Clio Trophy to get my 172 running. 1st class service.
Gary Burnett was absolutely spot on! Very knowledgable and thinks my noise on the N/S front is my gearbox mount. Bought all 4 a couple of months ago and its the only one I haven't fit yet so fingers crossed its that! Passed MOT with just one advisory which was slight play in N/S rack arm which he thinks may just be rack arm bush. Going on friday after work for the mount to be fitted Ian
