  1. Michelin would get my vote all day long. It's worth noting that they use a Cable bead rather than Hex beads and thus when they aren't mounted the sidewall is more flexible than say a Conti but once mounted they are stiffer.

Conti Sport Contacts are great tyres however they fair badly in wear rate tests.

    Naith likes this.
  2. I've got Continental Conti Sport Contact 5's all round. They hook up pretty well.

  3. It's really not difficult to make a tyre that wins all the tests but lasts 30% less than the competition, at best. Glad other manufacturers don't do that.

  4. exactly, and yes,i preferred my conti 5p`s to my ps2..but they were worn down to nothing at 5k!

  5. pushed my car hard last night on a deserted`brattonring`..a fast b road round here. The PSS are great..didn't even get them chirping, and the grip and turn in are more than enough for a fast road drive.Helped massively with good brakes to keep the flow going.R26 still a great drivers car.

PS4 on the back of my R26, PS2 from about 14 months ago on the front. No doubt in my mind it is the successor to the PS2 many were waiting for, even the tread looks almost the same. Sidewalls are also much thicker.

  7. Iv had the federal rsr on the car for 6 months and 3 track days, brilliant in the dry and shite on damp wet roads. Just ordered Nankang ar1 last week. Can't wait to see what they are like day to day and on track (26th august)
ThE AR1S on the front and the RSRs on the rear.

  8. I'm interested to know what they said now...
