Just trying to gauge interest........ How many would be interested in a detachable towbar for the 225/R26? Im thinking of contacting Brink to see if they can make a batch
As far as i know it was. The old part number for a tow bar was 7711237113 but Brink stopped making them but not sure why? Im waiting for an email back from them to shed some light. Maybe there were issues?
The 225/R26 is tow bar legal. As mentioned, the renult part number was 7711237113. And no, the exhaust didnt get in the way as it was detachable and angled differently to avoid the exhaust. If you look carefully at the tow bar plate near the electrics.....it is a RENAULT part. The 225/R26 IS homologated for tow bar use. Now, back to the original question.....how many would be interested in one? Detachable so for day to day use its not on show
If a vehicle is certified for towing it should have a braked and unbraked towing weight in the documentation, not sure if it's still there but used to be on log book, (VL5) Sent from my Z3...
Hi mate. I spoke to Brink and they have stopped making it so no luck. Im going to email a tow bar manufacturer and see what prices they charge to make them if at all
Strange turn of events....i just found and bought a towbar for the 225. It should be delivered in the next few days. I will keep you informed.
Just noticed, looks like mine has had one at some point The rear wires have also been cut and spliced as well so it had had one for sure.
sure does mate. Im hoping to get the dedicted loom for it so it should be plug and play for me. When it arrives i will do another post about fitting in case it helps anyone
