  1. Don't thing those belts long enough to achieve the correct angle and reach rear mounting points,

  2. Okay, but can you tell me where are those mounting points, rear and front please?

  3. There aren't any on factory belts, need to replace with eyelets, and remove rear seats

  4. Piece of cake - I just did it with this very harness - cost me £75 landed from ears.ie.

    About £8 for the fixings.

The entire install took 1 hour but if I had to do it again it would take 30mn. You don't need to remove the rear seats, just pull the bench from the back and it tilts, you don't even need to remove it. The only PITA is to have to unbolt the front seat to tilt it to attach the fixing on the original belt bolt against the centre console. Get someone to hold the seat while you operate.

Have a look here, including the link that I posted. http://www.rsmegane.com/threads/4-point-harness-install.11761/#post-129350

PLEASE ALSO READ THE SAFETY WARNING ABOUT NOT USING A ROLL CAGE, IRRESPECTIVE OF FIXINGS

  5. Thing is those harnesses are at a terrible angle if you were ever in an impact, along with the seat not being solid backed there's a reason they regulate these things in motorsport.
As with anything, completely up to the individual, free will and all that and I even had a similar setup in my Clio but it puts downward pressure on your shoulders to the point I wouldn't like to crash a car wearing them with them at a steep angle.

  6. Recaro have designed this seat with harnesses in mind and suggest up to 45 deg (which I agree is not optimised). Those guys do know one thing or two about safety. For clarity, this is in no way a motorsport solution.

  7. The link in nickfrogs's post above explains any perceived issues with shoulder strap angles, seat design and current FIA MSA rules.

  8. Those fitting are for nautical vessel and inappropriate for human restrain. The fitting can rotate under impact allowing good bit 'slack' at moment need firm hold, that and angle of belts proper bodge job with human subject in middle

  10. Proper bodge post with human subject in middle.

Weren't you the guy claiming Shell Helix fully Synth REN7010 would be no good after 6k miles compared to the Elf semi-Synth REN7010?

Those coeur fittings are not for nautical use - they are rated at 30k newtons for rope anchoring purposes to prevent a heavy bloke from landing in a valley after a long fall off a mountain. They must be at least 5 times stronger than the cheapo Scrotch. The fittings can't rotate and won't allow slack. Look into belt angles or speak to Recaro. Nothing bodged there. A massively over engineered solution. Keep the useful contributions coming for comedy value though

  11. Thank you nickfrog for the information and for the website from where to buy the stuff !!
As i understand those harnesses are the same i was refferring, only cheaper on this website as it seems?!
Bad thing is that the website who is selling the hanger plates telling me that they dont send the stuff to Estonia :worried:
I wrote them and asked maybe if its still possible, if not i have to get some help from here

And from the Aerofoil pictures it seems that the harness degree is the same inside the Trophy-R model, is it like that from the factory?! If so, it wont do any harm to use them like that i think..

  12. Those fittings are made by a German company called Petzl. I am sure mountaineering supply outlets sell them in Estonia. If not contact Petzl and ask who the importer is for Estonia. Or buy it mail order from Finland or Russia I would have thought.

Yes the harness is the same OMP 4M.
